This large 7 Mile Live Knot basket was made by Martha and Andrea, 5th and 6th generation Gullahs sweetgrass basket makers. This Legacy basket measures approximately 14 x 4. Made in honor of the 7 Mile community of Mount Pleasant, SC where Martha raised Andrea and they both learned how to make Sweetgrass baskets. This basket starts with 7 rows of long leaf pine needles, 7 rows of sweetgrass, 7 rows of bulrush, 7 rows of sweetgrass, and the last row has 7 Love Knots.
